Deep Cleaning: How to remove tea stains and odors from Qi Aerista IoTea Brewer
Tea stains may develop over time inside Qi Aerista. Thanks to suggestions from our wonderful customer Fiona from Hong Kong, we have found Zojirushi Stainless Steel Bottle Cleaner as the perfect cleaner to keep the tea maker spotless!
This mildly alkaline cleaner is manufactured by Japanese company Zojirushi and it is specifically designed for use in stainless steel bottles to remove stains and odors.
Check out the Before and After difference of using the cleaner for the infuser and pot.
How does the cleaner work:
Inside each package there are 4 packets of cleaning powder, each weighing 10 grams/0.35oz. To clean the Qi Aerista IoTea Brewer, you will need 2 packets. Please follow the instructions below to ensure proper cleaning.
Cleaning the infuser, filter and flow tube
- Dissolve 1 packet in up to 1 liter (35oz) of warm water at 40C (104F) or lower temperature. DO NOT use hot water (60C (140F) or over), as it may cause scalding.
- Let the infuser, filter and flow tube soak in the solution completely for 2 hours inside a deep bowl.
- Thoroughly rinse and clean afterwards.
Cleaning the pot
- Dissolve another packet in up to 1 liter (35oz) of water at 40C (104F) or lower. DO NOT use hot water (60C (140F) or over), as it may cause scalding.
- Pour the solution inside the pot up to the MAX level and leave it for 1-2 hours.
- Thoroughly rinse and clean afterwards.
Reassembling the tea maker
After cleaning is complete, please reassemble the brewer correctly according to the user guide. You can also referred to our blog on Assembling Your Qi Aerista Brewer.
