Today I want to share with you our plans for the next version of the Qi Aerista Smart Tea Brewer. So let’s start!

Recap of our journey

In 2016, we launched our crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and Indiegogo to build the first generation Qi Aerista Smart Tea Brewer.

The reason why we created Qi Aerista is not only to make the most amazing smart tea brewer ever.

We also want to bring all our tea loving friends and partners together to brew a better world.

We raised a total of 240 thousand US Dollars from over 1500 backers, across 60 countries and regions worldwide.

We are forever grateful for all the support we received to help us make Qi Aerista a reality.

After our Kickstarter campaign ended, we went through a lot of challenges with design & production.

We pulled it off in the end and started shipping our brewers to all our patiently waiting backers and customers in July 2018.

After more than 4 years, it’s great to know that many of the 1st generation smart tea brewers are still going strong for our backers and customers.

Of course, things can break down over time, especially for 1st generation products like ours.

In many cases, all we need is just a simple change of parts. That will return the brewers to fully functional again.

Plans for our next version

At this point, we have completely sold out all our 1st generation smart tea brewers.

Plans are underway to improve our original design and get our next brewer version into production.

So what’s new?

Well, we will keep the basic overall architecture because it has been working great for more than 4 years.

We will correct the issues we have identified in hardware, electronics, software and app to make the brewer even more reliable and easier to use.

For color, this time it will be in black.

 

We will be working closely with our partners to make sure things will be on time.

We plan to launch our next generation brewer as part of our new Kickstarter campaign around mid-2023.

Our goal is to collect at least 1500 preorders to meet our manufacturers’ MOQ requirements to kick off production.

Right now we already have hundreds of signups on our waiting list.
