This beautiful black tea from Yunnan, known as the birthplace of tea, is toasty and floral in fragrance and robust in flavors.
Also known as Dianhong, it was first invented in 1939 as produced from the Large Leaf cultivar. ‘Dian’ is the short name for Yunnan province and ‘hong’ means red in Chinese. In China, black tea is called red tea, which reflects the color of the tea liquid and the steeped tea leaves.
