Naturally floral and refreshingly soothing, this Jasmine green tea came from Fuding City of Fujian Province, China. Young leaves and buds were picked in April 2017 and immediately processed into the base green tea.
The base tea was prepared with minimal rolling to allow effective absorbing of the jasmine fragrance. Then the base tea was stored until it blends with the jasmine blossoms produced in Guangxi province, the largest Jasmine production region in China. Jasmine flowers were picked in late July when the jasmine flowers are ready to blossom.
The harvested jasmine flowers are mixed with the base leaves and undergo four rounds of traditional scenting. In each round, a fresh batch of jasmine flowers was added to the base teas with hours of waiting time for the teas to absorb the aroma of the flowers naturally and slowly.
This Jasmine green tea follows the traditional laborious scenting process, and no jasmine oil or jasmine flavors were added.
